Control architecture: the OCC engine, slot-marker transducers on the guideway and the vehicle on-board controller

New Delhi, Delhi (Oct 13, 2026)

EcoAutoMo Pvt Ltd announces, License to Use the Vibhuti Network Simulator and its OCC Engine, the planning tool and the control brain of the AutoBots pod taxi system by Tranxit Mobility Logistics Pvt Ltd, its sister company. The launch marks an important milestone: the control logic that will run the AutoBots network has now been proven end to end in simulation and now available for other proponents of Pod taxi Systems also.

A pod taxi network's capacity is not set by its vehicles. It is set by its stations, merges and depots, and by the way thousands of trips interact every minute. The Vibhuti Network Simulator models the whole network pod by pod with physically correct motion, so that capacity, fleet and depot sizes are derived from the operation itself rather than from rules of thumb.

The OCC Engine is built on the same code base. In any cyber-physical system the OCC is the mind: it is where complex algorithms turn passenger demand into safe, synchronised vehicle movement, every fraction of a second. The OCC Engine brings together:

  • booking and a slot grid, reserving every leg of every trip in time and space before a pod leaves the platform

  • a safe-braking-distance (moving block) following model, run identically by the OCC and by every vehicle

  • a telegram exchange at every slot-marker transducer on the guideway: movement authority down to the vehicle, measured position and speed back up to the OCC

  • continuous validation of every vehicle message against what the vehicle was asked to do and where it should be

  • emergency control for breakdowns: halt and clear the guideway, or keep the network running around a quarantined stretch (Heal)

Proven in simulation. The OCC Engine runs alongside a full city-scale simulation of more than 100 stations and over 1,000 vehicles. Millions of marker crossings have been checked with no safety or consistency rule broken, and every emergency mode has been tested across all station designs, with both 2-seat and 4-seat vehicles: no collisions, no overlaps, and every motion within the vehicle's limits.

Next step: Real vehicles on a real guideway

The next step is to connect real vehicles and a real guideway network in the field. The AutoBots test mule and its track will be brought under the control of the same OCC Engine, first through hardware-in-the-loop testing and then on the test track, so that the algorithms proven over millions of simulated marker crossings reach the field already debugged. The work ahead includes:

  • a compact message format for the wayside radio or inductive link

  • on-board sensing of the gap to the vehicle ahead, cross-checked against the OCC's picture

  • a live passenger demand feed from a booking app

  • integration with the vehicle's on-board controller and the wayside equipment
